We count visits so we can see which parts of this site are useful and which are not. That is the whole purpose. Nothing here is used for advertising, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone.
We do. The record sits on the server that runs this site. There is no analytics company, no advertising network, and no third party with a copy.
Two years, then it is deleted automatically. There is no reason to hold a record of a visit for longer than that, and keeping one would be harder to justify than deleting it.
The pages behind the adviser sign-in are a private business tool, not part of this public site, and visits to them are recorded against the account that is signed in rather than anonymously. That is deliberate: the firms using it are under agreement with us, and we need to know which account did what. Nothing there is shared with anybody outside Granite either.
Use your browser’s private or incognito window, and nothing is kept when you close it. Clearing your browsing data also removes the random number, and your next visit starts fresh. Either way the site works exactly the same.
If you press Send to Granite on the Design Your Outcome page, you are choosing to send us your name, your email address and the shapes you saved, so that we can reply. That is the only way anything you type reaches us, and it never happens by itself.
The mobile number used for the signing codes does not come from this website. Your own adviser asks you for it, in a meeting or on the telephone, and writes it on your record. They tell you at the time that it is for the codes.
Granite works behind your own adviser’s firm, as a sub-adviser to it. Your agreement is with that firm and not with us, and it stays that way. We send the codes on their behalf.
We use it to text you a short code, which you type in to open your own documents and sign them. One message for each code you ask for. No code is sent until you press the button asking for it. We send nothing on a schedule, and we never text you about a product. The only other messages are the two automatic replies below, and they come back only when you write to us first.
We never sell your mobile number, and we never share it — or the record that you agreed to receive the codes — for advertising or marketing. Not with another company, and not with any company connected to us. We do not use it for any other message.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Twilio, a messaging company, delivers the text for us. Like any phone company, their record of a message can hold the number it went to, the words in it, and the time it was delivered. That record of a text message is a separate thing from the visit records above.
Message and data rates may apply. Your own phone company may charge you for the message, depending on your plan. Granite does not charge you anything for these messages.
Reply HELP to any of our messages and you will get a short reply telling you how to reach us. Reply STOP and the messages end. The full terms are on our Text Message Terms page.
