Choose how far you are willing to let the market fall, and see the outcome we build from that choice.
We buy shares in the index you choose — the S&P 500 or the Nasdaq 100 — and they sit in your own account, in your own name. You own them and you collect the dividends. Then we place the protection around those shares, so it is in place from the first day.
We don’t touch the shares you have. You keep them and you keep the dividends, and because nothing is sold, the gains you’ve been carrying keep deferring. We simply place the protection around what you already hold. The one exception is the 0% Floor: it is built from cash, so funding it from shares you already own means selling them first — every other floor keeps your shares, with no sale.
How this works
Nothing to sign up for and nothing to buy — this is a calculator, and the prices in it are today’s real market prices. Change your mind as often as you like. When something looks right, send it to us — press ★ Save, then put your email address in the form beside your saved list — and we’ll walk through it with you.
If you have more than that, we build as many whole pieces as it buys and put what is left into a smaller piece of its own.
The shape does not change. One piece and ten pieces protect you at the same level and pay you at the same rate — only the dollar figures get bigger.
Have a particular amount in mind?
$ Protection is bought in whole pieces, so we build as much as your amount covers and tell you what is left over. Nothing is sent anywhere. Why whole pieces, and why this term? Each point on the line is a place the S&P could finish, and the number beside it is what you walk away with if it does. The smaller gray figure underneath is that same result annualized — the yearly rate it works out at, so you can compare terms of different lengths.
At this amount your money buys separate products that end on different dates. Please look at all of them before you decide.
One graph is drawn at a time. The two buttons above the graph switch between them, and each button carries its own amount and its own end date.
